The San Diego River floods over these 2 roads, and one more I didn't bother photographing, every year when the rain storm hits for more than one day. This happens a couple times minimum every rainy season. No one is shocked that the police put up these ribbon barriers and try in this minimulist way to keep people from trying to drive across the river.

Hi, I found your blog while looking for patterned car reference ... I was working on an illustration for a client. I ended up spending a good part of my afternoon looking at the pictures and links. It was great fun to sit here in my studio and laugh all afternoon, so thanks! I had to forward your link to just about all of my illustrator/designer friends.

I do a little graphic design, sometimes illustration, but mostly surface pattern design for home furnishings. I am attaching part of the illustration I made last week. It is just a fantasy art car. Maybe someday I will find the time to paint my real car.

Pink Barbie Porsche Transformed into Art Car

I found this wonderful pink Barbie Porsche now totally transformed by the creative handiwork of two boys named Noah age six and Leo age four. They got under the hood and went to town gluing a box-load of found trash and marbles with blue base coat of paint. These guys definitely have a great future ahead of them and will no doubt take the art car world by storm in the coming years.
